The sole available version of “60’s Wack” is the instrumental “early rough mix” found on disc 3 of Cherry Red’s 4xCD “expanded Digipak edition” of Reformation! Post-TLC (2020), and credited to “The Fall”. The song was never played live, as far as we know.
The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary provides three definitions of “wack”. As a noun: either “An eccentric, mad, or crazy person; a crackpot”; or “A familiar term of address: pal, mate.” As an adjective: “Bad, harmful; unfashionable.” My guess is the adjective is intended. So “60’s Wack” presumably describes something rubbish from or inspired by 1960s trends.
I have dated “60’s Wack” to 2020, since that was the year it was officially released, but presumably the recording dates to c.2007. However, as The Track Record complains:
Essentially a two chord vamp not far away from Mr Pharmacist in structure. Where and when it was recorded and with who is not clear from the so called extensive liner notes that come with the release.
