An “early rough mix” – one of several such instrumentals – only found on disc 3 of Cherry Red’s 4 x CD “expanded Digipak edition” of Reformation! Post-TLC (2020). The liner notes lack any useful information whatsoever, and so we don’t know exactly when or where “Wed 2” was recorded, or who played on it (it’s credited simply to “The Fall”). I assume it was recorded c.2007, but I’ve given it the date of its official release.
There were no known live performances.
“Wed” might be short for “wedding”, or “Wednesday”, or perhaps it’s the verb meaning “to marry”. Other entirely pointless speculative guesses welcome.
The Track Record has this down as a “fast paced guitar led piece comprising two main sections – a blues riff and a break away section with a jangling chord change.” It strongly reminds me of “The Wright Stuff”, off Reformation! Post-TLC.
